School Meals
We pride ourselves in supplying our children with excellent food.
Eating a healthy diet enables a child to live life to the full and gives them a better performance all round, specifically helping with their concentration levels- which in turn affects achievement.
So, we encourage all our children to have a school dinner and we are glad to have such a high uptake of school dinners at our school our fantastic cook Alison works hard to cater to any dietary requirements and has received a 5-star food hygiene rating for the past several years!
Lunch Information
School dinners are free for children in Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 due to the Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) funding the school receives from the government.
School dinners cost just £2.40 per child, per day for Key Stage 2.
If your child is eligible for Free School Meal (FSM) this cost will be subsidised by the government and there will be no cost for the parent/carer of the eligible child. A copy of the application form is attached at the bottom of this page.
School dinners are cooked on site and consist of a nutritious main course, pudding and a drink. A copy of the menu is sent home via on a regular basis so that children and parents can choose meals together.
A copy of the school menu is available by request to the school office. Alternatively, please see a copy of the school menu on the attachment below.
Children may choose to bring packed lunches to school. In accordance with our policies on being a “healthy” school we ask that packed lunches are of a balanced healthy design.
We also ask that they do not contain glass bottles, fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate bars.
